Buildings in Tehran will be issued technical certificates, said head of the Construction Commission of Tehran City Council, Eghbal Shakeri. Following the destruction of and damage to several buildings in Tehran due to the July 19 thunderstorm that struck several provinces, it was decided to issue technical certificates,” he told ISNA. Shakeri said provincial buildings will be inspected case-by-case and classified according to quality. Incentives will be given for quality constructions. It will also help provide information to the public on the value of a building according to its certification, size and neighborhood.
