A new medical and rehabilitation center is to be set up in Kahrizak district in Rey county, Tehran Province, said Rey Governor Hedayatollah Jamalipour. “Given the pressing need for such a center in southern parts of the province, it was decided that the Hashemi Nejad Medical Center in Kahrizak would be overhauled and turned into a large medical rehabilitation center,” he said, ILNA reported. The project will be implemented in cooperation with the State Welfare Organization to help residents of the underprivileged villages.
In the last census, Kahrizak’s population was 8,704, in 2,178 families.
