Iran has been named the chair of the board of directors of Immunohematology Working Party of the International Society for Blood Transfusion (ISBT) as well as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the working group. “This is a huge triumph for the country and the Iran Blood Transfusion Organization,” said Mostafa Moghaddam, head of IBTO’s Immunohematology Laboratory, IRNA reports. Iran won the majority of votes from members of the working party including countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, Japan, Spain and Brazil, said IBTO’s public relations office on Monday. The working party comprises 27 nations, including Iran.
