The Tehran City Social Emergencies Center will commence operation as of August, said Tehran deputy governor-general for political affairs, Ali Asghar Naserbakht.
“The decision was finalized at a session of the Interior Ministry in the presence of officials, members of Tehran City Council and the municipality,” he said, ISNA reported.
The center’s activities will not interfere with the functions of other relief organizations including medical centers or shelters for addicts. According to the bill ratified by the ministry’s Social Council, “the center will comprise representatives from organizations involved in addressing social disorders who will pursue matters in their area of expertise.”
